What does the Sterling / Lira price mean?
What it measures
The sterling/dollar cross from the Turkish central bank's bulletin, multiplied by the live dollar/lira rate. The sterling leg refreshes once a day with the bulletin; intraday movement comes from the lira leg.
Where it differs
Crypto exchanges no longer trade a sterling pair, so the sterling/dollar side is taken from the central bank's daily rate. A bank's rate differs by its spread.
What moves it
Bank of England decisions, and everything on the dollar/lira side.
